If possible, refrain from doing business with WE THE PEOPLE. It sounds like a reasonable price but you are better off to do things yourself or hire an actual lawyer. I hired WE THE PEOPLE in early March 2005 to file for a divorce. Is is now September 2007 and I'm still married!!! They never return your calls, unless you live a message threatening with reporting them. They end up charging you more than they first tell you. They will pull the " Oops, we forgot to file this or that.. that is going to cost you such and such". I would have saved money, time, frustration and aggravation if I would have just gone to a lawyer. The last I heard from Jayne, the owner was that she was going to try and figure out why my divorce had not gone through yet, that was over a month ago. I have called repeatedly and all I get is the receptionist that just takes the messages. But do you get a call back?? NO. When you do get a call back from Jayne, and this is of course after leaving a message stating that I was going to report them to the BBB, she acts like nothing is wrong. I work for the City in which this WE THE PEOPLE is located. I sent out a general email to everyone warning them of their poor work ethics and I received several responses from people regarding this and they all have said the same thing, it would have been cheaper and less frustrating to just go to a Lawyer. I went to the court where my divorce should have been finalized and spoke with a Lawyer there. He said to avoid WE THE PEOPLE. That all they do is mess things up for their clients and take their money. They don't follow up on anything. I am more concerned about people that don't stand up for themselves and won't say anything about the horrible service they have received. I want to warn people of this place. They will NOT provide proper or professional help. Trust on me this. My divorce should have taken at the most a year. Almost two and a half years later, nothing has been done. They don't care to take care of complaining customers because they have more customers that won't complain because they feel they have no other place to go.
PLEASE THINK TWICE, SLEEP ON IT AND THEN THINK TWICE AGAIN BEFORE DOING ANY BUSINESS WITH WE THE PEOPLE OF BURBANK CALIFORNIA. THEY WILL MAKE IT SOUND LIKE, YOU PAY A SMALL FEE AND THEY TAKE CARE OF EVERYTHING IN A FLASH. IT IS NOT TRUE.
