Wow! What A Disappointment. Bad Contractor!
|
P&J had a very nice ad in the local paper so we called them for a shutter project. They had the lowest bid of four bids for wood shutters. One of the other contractors claimed we should check them out with the BBB, but my wife liked the sales guy and the savings and so we went with them. There were 16 windows and a sliding glass door planned. I insisted we try them out with a piece of it first (I'm in construction) before committing to the whole order. We got only part of the first order (late) after many excuses and the quality was terrible and the installation was a joke. I couldn't tell without wrecking the shutters, but the doors were so flimsy and the joinery so weak I don't see how it could have been the basswood or mortise and tenon they bid. I think this was probably fraud and if they were on a job with me my company would go after them. Anyway, we are cancelling the rest of the order and replacing what we have because it looks like manure.
The P&J guy kept insisting they could fix it, but even if the install was fixed the shutters were still unacceptable. He acted as though he couldn't understand that, no matter how many times and ways I said it. I feel sorry for their customers who don't know construction.
