Review 4/12/2011
I am writing this review this evening for three reasons: #1) First and foremost, I received my loan modification today! NCAG did what they said they would do. My payment was reduced by $442. #2) So that others can learn from my mistakes. #3) I want to give and honest evaluation of the work done by NCAG.

#1)Needless to say we are thrilled. $442 is a LOT of money to us.

#2) I hired NCAG thinking; "There. I did it. I hired an attorney to help us out of this mess. Now I can sit back and let them take care of everything!" Fast forward a couple of months and I get an official notice in the mail; "Notice of Trustee Sale." I was livid. I mean furious! I called to rip into them, hard! I was angry. What happened to the law group that was supposed to save the day? My representative listened to me rant and rave. When I calmed down, she explained to me that I had to help them help me. She went on to remind me that I had ignored requests for updated paperwork, and even worse, that I had failed to inform about some additional income I was receiving by working a part time job. Also, another mistake I made was not telling them that I had an income property too. I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I thought that withholding things would actually HELP my situation. I hated to admit it, but I was dead wrong. Much to my chagrin, I had to admit that she had a point. I was holding back information that was key to my file, and, I was not responsive to their requests for additional information.

It was easy to get mad and blame someone else, but I had to take responsibility for my end of the bargain. So lesson learned. Make sure you tell them EVERYTHING and give them all the information they need. Just like my rep told me; "Help us help you." Point made and received.

Which leads to...

#3)After I calmed down, my rep at NCAG assured me that the sales notice was NOT the end of the world. After taking into consideration the information I had previously omitted and the fact that my mortgage company had started foreclosure proceedings, it was a whole new ball game. We sat down and pretty much started over. Once I finally provided them everything they needed, THEN I could truly sit back and let them take care of everything. And they did! With a new game plan in place, they saved my home! And... They reduced my payment by $442.

They were very patient, helpful, and truly experts at what they do. And the proof is in the pudding.

I hope my experience helps someone. If you are looking for help, NCAG is the way to go. Just remember, they don't do magic tricks. You have to hold up your end of the bargain too. I have already referred 3 friends to them.

Hope this helps.
