I have been renting from this company for 3 years now and have had several positive and many negative interactions with them.
The positive:
- they do get back to us/return phone calls in a timely manner when we call for a maintenance requests
The Negative:
- over the past 3 months we've had 5 snowstorms that cover our steep driveway & parking area completely. They have shoveled/cleared this area 2 times. The first snowstorm left about 6 inches of snow and 2 inches of ice on these areas, making it impossible for the tenants to leave the complex. It took 5 DAYS before they sent a snowplow (they claimed to have 3 snowplows, they were just busy!) so we were all pretty much stranded/stuck. The snow had all but disappeared before they came to do anything. Even salting the driveway would have helped (this was never done) The other snow situations were the same.
- they rarely change the airfilters in our Central Air unit
- the water bills are sent to us every 3 months - IF the guy in charge remembers. Last year he "forgot" to send us our water bill for 9 months, and then sent us a $300 bill "due immediately"
- but the worst complaint I have is that they have recently decided to add up all of our neighbors water bills and divide it by the amount of renters. Which almost DOUBLES our monthly water bill. Essentially, we're now responsible for our neighbors water usage. We're not living in a commune here, gimme a break. And we don't have any say-so in this matter. Who came up with THAT idea?
