Review 6/9/2009
As most people, my connection with K2 is mostly trough playing their online games. Despite the quality content of the games that they are providing, i can not say i am happy about the companies actual interactions with its customers. A quick glance at the forum of their biggest game (Knight Online World) gave me some indication to this. K2's flagship games offers a unique online gaming experience, that gets its players hooked from the start. And best of all, they offer it for free ! However, it doesnt take the player long to realize that the term "free to play" is only their to draw the players in... After a 3 day trial period, the gamer has to start making use of K2's premium services, because without he will probably be unable to get into the game verry easy. These services are easy to purchase and anybody with online payment services can get back into the game within minutes. But as i learned more about this perticular game and its players, i quickly learned that all is not what it seems. The game itself is overrun by gamers who make use of illegal third party tools and making the gaming experience unenjoyable for normal players. Despite claims in their terms of service, there seems to be no punishment for these activities. An attempt to contact officials in game fail again and again. Tickets sent to their online support center remain unanswered for days, and after that they just dissapear. Its impossible to get into contact with anyone from the company. Topics containing any complaints on their official forums, get deleted within minutes however. It seems to me K2 isnt running these online games at all, and is simply accepting payments from players and then leaving them at the mercy of cheaters, abusive players and continued technical issues. I can only recommend to not get involved with these people. My experience with them was verry negative, and i found their general lack of interest in their own games verry disturbing to say the least. Given the prices that they ask for making use of their games, i would atleast expect some support. If you love to play online games like i do, stay far away from this apathic company ! There are plenty more companies out there offering decent games with actual 24/7 support at a fraction of the cost. Greets, Niels.
