Just filed a BBB complaint against EZ Rent A Car. I had a car in March and in April I noticed a charge for $530 on my credit card. They didn't send me notice of the charge and I thought maybe an employee there was committing fraud. Their customer service department emailed me a traffic ticket after I contacted them. It was from a traffic camera and showed a picture of me stopped at a red light. I called the police and the court and the ticket was dismissed (sitting at a red light is what you're supposed to do - was some camera mishap). I sent the ticket dismissal form to EZ Rent A Car and it's been two months and they still haven't refunded me. They've stopped even answering emails. Hope the BBB can get a response out of them before I have to sue to get my money back. What terrible customer service! Fixes: 1) tell people if they got a ticket, 2) don't rip people off (pretty sure they're trying to keep the $530), 3) answer customers. My advice to consumers: if you can get a car for a similar price somewhere else, definitely go with another company, just in case there are any complications. Just had a rental with Hertz and I forgot my sunglasses in the glove box. They shipped them express to me! Think EZ would do that? I doubt it.
