"We contacted Bill Bolton of DeckCreations to give us a proposal for recovering our balcony deck in Ipe hardwood. The bid we received was very reasonable, seemed well thought out, and compared favorably with others we had received, so a few weeks later we proceeded with the project. We were extremely happy with how the project evolved. First, Bill is a careful and considerate worker who plans well, so the project never felt intrusive or over extended in time, and was efficient in the use of materials. He was also very mindful of safety and maintained a tidy work area. Then, shortly after starting, we discovered greater damage to the underlying structure from dry rot than we had anticipated. This revealed Bill's can-do attitude as he quickly and willingly diverted his effort to make the needed structural repairs before completing the planned work. These were done with techniques and materials that will enhance the longevity of the structure. The result is we have a deck far more beautiful than the original, and a sense of confidence in its structural soundness for years to come. The overall experience was so satisfactory that it really exceeded our expectations."
