I contacted this company to purchase a baking stone for myself. After placing the online order I contacted them (by phone) and asked if the order would ship out the same day, and I was told it would. Shortly after placing my order, I received an email confirming my order and the email indicated that the package would ship soon and I'd get an email to inform that it had shipped. After three days, I still hadn't received any shipping email so I called to inquire about this. I was told by a Rep that the item would NOT ship until the following Monday. So I sent an email to the company expressing my dismay that not only did the order not ship when I was told it would, but that it wouldn't even ship until the following week. I got a reply indicating that apparently there had been some shipping delays and that "if" I wanted to cancel my order, I was free to do so. I decided to just go ahead and keep the order and wait for the item. On the Monday that the item was due to be shipped, I got an email from the company indicating that my order had been cancelled as requested (even though i didn't request it) and that a credit would be issued. Upon receiving this email I contacted the company to tell them that I had NOT cancelled the order and asked why I'd be getting an email to indicate that I had. The Rep apologized and offered to place the order again,expedite the shipping, and pay for the shipping. So I agreed to this offer and she put me on hold for a moment. After about 1 minute, the Rep came back online and apologized again because the item was now out of stock. They did offer to email me a $15 gift certificate, and some time later sent an email indicating that they'd issued the credit back to my debit card. On the plus side, the did resolve the financial issue by issuing an immediate credit. On the down side, they are poorly run, disorganized and just in dire need of a serious overhaul. In spite of issuing the credit and offering a gift certificate, I would never, ever do business with them again. As far as I'm concerned, they fumbled by presuming to cancel an order that was NOT theirs to cancel. Then they fumbled again because the order couldn't be placed again because they were out of stock. Had THEY not cancelled the order, everything would have been fine. I guess in conclusion, not only will I never do business with them again, I will tell everyone I know not to buy from them.
